When asked to create a presentation about myself, as a school assignment, instead of the static conventional slides, I opted to do it in the form of a song, going through numerous extra steps in completing the project, from writing the song, to recording, then editing and presenting my work in front of the class. While this song had marked the beginning of my dive into music, I was far from content from the way it turned out.

There were some subjects in school that I liked, but struggled with nonetheless. My focus had already shifted towards music and away from the sciences. On one occasion, I was on the verge of losing my conservative physics grade. To address this issue, I wrote a song that also served as coursework to tackle the situation. My grade was saved and my teacher was so pleased that he uploaded it as a video to his YouTube account.

My teacher interviewed me because «you might become someone important, and I want to be the first one to interview you». 😀

Here is the music I composed for a Christmas Holiday video for the Escuela de Arte de Sevilla (Art School of Seville).

I was walking back from school in the company of my good friend and sometimes lyricist Alejo Naranjo when we started discussing how oddly similar newborn birds look to aliens. This sprung an idea for a song, Pájaro alien del espacio. Inspired, I made an animation to complement the song. I never finished it  but here’s an excerpt from it.

This is an early demo sung by Alejo.

We got mad about the song, so I started to do different versions. I can show you a little of some of them.

I have made some other compositions, but I now feel that they could be improved. I composed the songs, sang, and made all the arrangements myself. At that time, I did not have many resources, so the quality of the recordings is not very high. Although I am not particularly proud of these songs, they have played an important role in bringing me to where I am now.
